PDF SpeedUp allows you to significantly speed up the time it takes to load Adobe Reader. If you notice that when the Reader starts it loads many plug-ins which you may or may not need, this program simply disables the plug-ins and loads only the absolute necessary ones so the program starts quickly. It offers several options and you can also manually enable or disable the plug-ins as needed. PDF SpeedUp works with Acrobat versions 3 through 7.

The latest version 8 of Adobe Reader has changed its behavior when used as a command line tool to print PDF documents. It will no longer close itself after being called with the /t switch. This tool will help you close the Adobe Reader when it has finished printing.

Close Adobe Reader Review. It seems to be working as advertised. I have had no problems shutting my computer down after using Adobe Reader.
